AMC Department of Radiology has state-of-the-art medical equipment and great human resources for imaging diagnosis and treatment in terms of quality and scope.
Since the establishment of AMC in 1989, we have performed more than 3 million imaging examinations and interventional procedures, and achieved a remarkable growth even in research and education.
We are equipped with CT, MRI, advanced angiographic system, ultrasonic equipment, vascular ultrasound units, fluoroscopic apparatus, imaging system, mammography unit, mobile devices, and C-arm imaging system including Dual Source CT which was introduced in Korea for the first time. Around 400 staff including radiologists, physicians, image investigators, radiological technologists, nurses, medical record technicians, and other employees are engaged in imaging diagnosis and interventional procedures at the West Building (2F), East Building (2F), New Building (2F and basement), emergency room in West Building (1F), X-ray room in East Building (1F), and pediatric emergency room in New Building (1F).
All of the staff are doing the best to foster an environment where patient safety is improved, new values are created, and respect and consideration are valued according to the corporate goals of AMC; and provide best services that satisfy everyone including patients, caregivers, and outpatients with an emphasis on three aspects: thorough quality control of equipment, exposure dose management, and patient safety improvement.
We have been selected as an exemplary hospital for years in a row for the excellence in quality control of special medical equipment (CT, MRI, and mammography unit) and its contribution even to special medical equipment management of other hospitals.
We have also built an upgraded hospital information system to offer examination services in a fast and efficient manner; and always try hard to create pleasant clinical settings by introducing cutting-edge equipment and newly building and remodeling facilities.

Head and Neck Cancer
AMC Head and Neck Cancer Center runs a clinic for one-stop treatment and clinical research to provide professional consultations on surgical treatment, radiotherapy, drug therapy, how to improve lifestyles including a dietary life, and how to care for complications after surgery and radiotherapy.
The Scoliosis Center provides treatment of all types of infantile and adolescent scoliosis (idiopathic, congenital, and neuromuscular) as well as other pediatric spinal disorders. Professors and clinical nurse specialists will offer sufficient explanations and counseling to patients and their parents at the consultation rooms or the counseling room.
